Plot 8
On the 14th of May 2025, the Vegan Land Movement CIC entered an auction and WON an 8th area of dairy grazing land, thanks to the incredible support of donors such as yourselves.
This area of land is now in the safe hands of the VLM and will become a protected haven for countless wildlife species, including persecuted badger families whose setts are nearby.
There is a lot of shooting in this area and this 8th plot will be a safe area where shooting and culling is prohibited. All shooting, hunting and ‘sporting’ rights are sold with the land and the VLM never buys land without these as part of the sale.

There are several badger setts very near this plot and the badgers can now safely use this land for foraging without fear of being hunted and shot. Below are some photos taken by VLM volunteers who are part of the local badger sab group. They have visited this field a few times and have catalogued the nearby badger setts to monitor and oversee them.
Thank you to all who made this happen. You have saved another area of land – not only providing a safe haven for the nearby badger families but also countless other struggling native species.
The other great bit of news about Plot 8 is that it is not far from Plot 2.
The more areas of land that the VLM can remove from animal agriculture (and ideally join several areas together), the more chance struggling wildlife will have to survive and ultimately flourish. Imagine joining all of these fields together to create hundreds of acres of wildlife sanctuary, protected by vegan principles in perpetuity!
